SECURE Act Regulations Issued

If you own retirement plan accounts, this is especially for you.

You may have heard that the SECURE Act (effective January 1, 2020) imposed new rules for distributions to your beneficiaries after you have passed away. Early in 2022, Proposed Regulations were issued regarding the new SECURE Act provisions. The Proposed Regs could make a big difference in how you think about naming your beneficiaries.

We added a new video to our Basic Estate Planning series to reflect the recently issued Proposed Regulations. The new video is less than three minutes long. To see it, click here.

Our video series How To Make Certain Your Estate Plan Works as Everything Else Changes has also been updated with the same material.
